Despite the greatest efforts and committment of the volunteer staff, committee, parents and children, sadly the choir will not be taking up their invitation to compete at this year's World Choir Games in Cincinnati.
Although we managed to raise an amazing £11,000, the economic downturn and hugely expensive flights just posed too much of a challenge to enable enough children to participate.
Thank you to everyone who supported us in this project; everyone is naturally very disappointed to have worked so long towards something which didn't come to fruition.
Looking on the brighter side, we are now in the position however to 'ringfence' funds for the WCG 2014, compete at International level at Llangollen this July and continue to raise funds for other projects in 2012 and 2013.
