Well what a remarkable night!! an ecstatic reception at a big function at the Celtic Manor Hotel near Newport. The choir sang beautifully (superbly directed by Christian Jenkins MA) to an audience, which became more and more enthusiastic as the concert progressed.

Baritone Rhys Nicholson's rich baritone solos in Moon River were rapturously received with cheers. Then the audience became more excited by the ever popular Happy Wanderer' sung in German, an upbeat and rocking 'Hail Holy Queen' from Sister Act, the Anthem from 'Chess' followed by Evelyn Nicholson's arrangement of Mae hen wlad fy nhadau, the Welsh National anthem.
All the choir rose magnificently to the challenge, the obvious enjoyment of the audience making them put everything into the performances, and after the Welsh National anthem, the whole audience rose to their feet cheering the excellent performance of the very young performers! They virtually bounced of the stage with huge smiles upon their faces! What a wonderful evening and a wonderful reception from the audience and staff of the Celtic Manor Hotel.
